Social media isn’t only for doing TikTok challenges or for “fun” businesses.
If done right, your social media presence can make a world of difference in recruiting care staff and giving credibility to potential clients and their families – and could even help with CQC inspections!
So, what types of things should you post and why?
1) Life at the care home for a resident.
Post about the types of activities your residents are involved in. This gives would-be clients an insight into how it would be for them to live there.
2) Focus on your staff
Celebrate staff achievements, highlight new staff who have come on board and give people a glimpse of what it’s like working there. Such content can help with recruitment but also familiarise your clients with the people who’d be taking care of them.
3) Social Proof
Prove to people that categories one and two aren’t only for show and that high-quality care work goes on behind the scenes. Social proof can be shared through testimonials and reviews and by highlighting results for CQC and other regulatory inspections.
The benefit of regular content is it shows you’re proud to share your story and the work you do. A Facebook page whose last post was in August 2022 doesn’t make the best impression.
And you don’t need to post daily. Commit to posting at least twice a week and when people are searching for a home, it could be your social media presence that tilts people in your favour!
